Bank Indonesia Request for Increase Banking Security

Bank Indonesia (BI) has called on banks to increase security to customers transacting at the bank to remain calm, related to the occurrence of bank robberies.

Robbery incident happened some time Medan branch of Bank CIMB Niaga's quite shocking the public. BI Deputy Governor Muliaman D. Hadad appreciate the response from the relevant authorities of the case. He expects, banks could continue to take steps to calm customers' priority.

As is known, the Bank CIMB Niaga Medan robbed as many as 14 people by the people trained. Robbery done in about 10 minutes. Total losses reached Rp400 million stolen robbers had disappeared. In that action, one mobile brigade personnel, Immanuel Briptu Simanjuntak (28 years), was shot dead by robbers.
